OUR FAVORITE 2016 VALENTINE'S DAY SOIRÉE'S

Happy day after Valentine's Day! We hope you had the sweetest weekend. Personally, we're recovering from chocolate comas, but it was one of our best weekends of the new year. Allie was off playing in the Tahoe snow and Deb was enjoying the Sonoma sunshine (finally!) and working on a few new DIY projects.

Since we didn't host a Valentine's party of our own this year,  here's a recap of some of our favorite sweetheart tables of the weekend and get ready because The Afternoon Valentine's Day Tea party by Lark & Linen and The Vault Files made the top of our list. We mean, did you see that flower wall? We only wish we were there sipping tea + bubbly.

An afternoon filled with sweet treats (mini-cakelets, yum!), pretty little teacups, fancy finger sandwiches and a good signature cocktail or champagne is definitely one of our favorite ways to spend time with our favorite girls on V-Day or actually...any day.

Theme: "Blush + bashful" or better known by SMP fans, their signature colors...pink + pink! And, like every other year, Style Me Pretty Living outdid themselves with a Valentine's Day soirée that was right up our champagne alley. The sweetness of this luxury at-home party was perfect for sharing the love with the hubs all around or keeping it girly-girl. From the blush accent pillows, pink desserts and roses everywhere to the most perfect champagne tower we ever did see, this V-Day party had it all and we loved every single detail.

If you didn't already catch Whitney Port's Galentine's Day Fête featured on Glitter Guide, it was filled with blush colored blooms, coordinating tapers, heart-shaped pastries, fresh berries, and a twist of black and white napkins, gold flatware and gold trimmed serveware. Completely uncomplicated and totally inviting.

What we loved about this table? We could shop in our house to pull this look together, or at least something similar and so could you. Bring in clusters of blooms, bright colored balloons, add some of your favorite Valentine DIY's, and you've got yourself a sweet table that's party ready. If a 4-course dinner isn't on the agenda, fresh fruits, your best cheese plate, a baguette (or two), crackers and pretty little pastries make a lovely menu.

For us, it's all about the details and here are some we can't wait to try on.

We are seriously crushing on mini-bouquets, especially pink ones. Are they not the sweetest things? We hear "DIY bouquet bars are the new cupcake stand". Love that, Abby Larson. They are so easy to make and such a lovely gesture.

Mini-cakelets might be perfect for V-Day, but we would serve them any day of the week.

What could be sweeter than X's, O's and heart shaped sugar cookies, sprinkled with blush rock-candy crystals?

Today's take-away: You have 364 days to plan your next V-Day soirée. Whether you decide to go casual or put on your fancy pants, add gold, silver or copper serving pieces for a little shimmer, light candles everywhere, pop the champagne (pink, of course!) and have yourself the sweetest day with some of your very best pals.
